Power
Agent
The PowerAgent is an SNMP Adapter
for UPS systems. The Power Agent connects to the UPS
through a standard serial port and supports a number of
Standard UPS serial protocols, and can be upgraded to
support new protocols. With the PowerAgent, a UPS can be
accessed via the Power Agent's 10/100 baseT Ethernet
connection, allowing it to be monitored and remotely
managed via a web interface, and also via SNMP, as
defined in the UPS RFC 1628 Standard. The PowerAgent
operates with Multenet's PowerDown, which is client shut
down software for a range of operating systems including
Windows, Linux, Solaris and Netware.
